Funeral Programme in isiZulu
An isiZulu funeral programme is not an English template with translated words pasted in — the service itself has its own shape: the programme director guiding proceedings, the umlando (life history), tributes in careful order from family to colleagues, the vote of thanks, and the izithakazelo honoured under the name on the cover. TributeFold is the only programme maker built with that structure and the correct headings from the start.
How the service is structured
- The cover carries the izithakazelo (clan praises) beneath the name — a dedicated line in our editor, not an afterthought.
- Umlindelo (night vigil) often has its own simple programme the evening before; our vigil service type covers it.
- Tributes (izinkulumo) follow a respected order — family, grandchildren, church, colleagues, friends — pre-filled by our SA service preset.
- The service commonly closes with ukubonga (vote of thanks) and the funeral arrangements announcement before the procession.

Common questions
Are the isiZulu headings correct?+
The headings — Uhlelo Lwenkonzo, Umlando, Izithakazelo, Umthandazo, Intshumayelo, Ukubonga and the rest — follow common usage in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng programmes, and are undergoing native-speaker review before we mark them verified. Your own wording stays exactly as you write it.
Can I mix isiZulu headings with English content?+
Yes — that is how most real programmes are made: isiZulu section headings with the obituary and tributes written in whichever language each contributor used. The language setting changes headings only.
Does it include a tombstone unveiling programme?+
Yes — choose "Tombstone unveiling" as the service type and the order pre-fills with the unveiling act, the reading of the inscription, and the graveside structure.
