TributeFold

Funeral Programme in isiXhosa

An isiXhosa programme honours the iziduko under the name, tells the imbali yobomi (life story), and follows a service order the whole community recognises. TributeFold ships those headings and that structure natively — you fill in the family's own words.

How the service is structured

  • Iziduko (clan names) take their place beneath the deceased's name on the cover.
  • The order of service (uludwe lwenkonzo) moves from hymn and prayer through scripture, the life story, tributes, and the sermon to the final thanks (umbulelo).
  • Memorial services (inkonzo yesikhumbuzo) held midweek before the funeral get their own shorter programme — a service type in our editor.
  • The graveside (committal and wreaths) is usually listed after the main service items.

Common questions

Are the isiXhosa headings verified?+

They follow common Eastern Cape and Western Cape programme usage — Uludwe Lwenkonzo, Imbali Yobomi, Iziduko, Umbulelo — and are in native-speaker review before we mark them verified. Your family's own text is always exactly yours.

Can the programme be bilingual?+

Yes — isiXhosa headings with content in isiXhosa, English, or both. Families commonly mix; the layout handles it.
