Printing this design
A pale blue-grey wash with a double-rule frame. The double rules are drawn heavy enough to photocopy without breaking up, and the ink coverage is low — a practical combination when the unveiling booklet is being printed locally at short notice, which most of them are.
Choosing the photograph
The arch crop rounds the top of the frame, so leave headroom above the head. The cool palette is kind to older and slightly faded photographs — useful at an unveiling, where the picture is often a year or more old and may have been reprinted several times.
